And Another Thing: The World According to Clarkson: v. 2

Blogged this a while ago when I received a great haul of books for Xmas. I've just finished this one and while it's good, I've started to hear Clarksons voice in my head as I read it. Listen to him on Top Gear, he has a very distinct manner of speaking. Every dozen words (or so) he makes a massive sucking sound and for the life of me this sounds like he is trying to inhale a bowl of jelly/jello and I stop hearing what he is saying as I anticipate the next suck! So now, in my head I have started hearing this damn slurp at the start of every paragraph...sort of glad I finished the book really.

Red Tag

This is a macro shot of a fly known as a 'Red Tag'. For the photo junkies the shot was taken in low natural light, long exposure (30 secs) with a standard lens with a significant extension tube (sorry cannot remember how long I ended up using), perhaps this is a macro cheat. For the flyfishers its a #14 hook, 3-4 lengths of peacock hurl, bronze hackle and some hand dyed red wool for the tag.

Last week I blogged about the wee bunfight occuring at Flickr with regard to changes proposed to contact and tag limits. It seems that the outcry from the Flickr population has not fallen on deaf ears. Yesterday the Flickr team have posted an ammendment to their new rules.

We've heard your feedback and we've made a wee tweak to the contact limit change:
While you're limited to 3,000 non-reciprocal contacts, we've lifted the limit for reciprocal contacts -- that is, if you and your buddy have each other as contacts, it won't count towards the limit.

So while this change dosnt address the sore point of cutting older users over to a Yahoo ID is is nice to see that someone is listening in Flickr land.
